I was originally on the waitlist for this school which is ridiculous considering I went to a very challenging high school and had a 3.98 GPA. I was involved in many extracurricular activities and help two leadership positions. I was shocked to learn that I had not immediately been admitted into the school and the only reason I can think of for this is that I only received a 28 on my ACT. But I am pretty sure that is the average if not above average score here.

It is a really challenging school to get into and getting harder. We have a work hard/play hard mindset and the average ACT is a 29 and the average GPA is a 3.95. My high school was really competitive and my grades were not that good. Alas, no grinder genes in me and I admit that I goofed off a lot back then even though I know I could have done better. It helped that my ACT was decent and I think they liked that I had a mix of activities plus one varsity sport. I visited Elon after I put in for early action and got in.
